    Cena jest bardzo dobra gdyby okazała się prawdziwa. Audi A8, na którym ma bazować i korzystać z jego technologii kosztuje 15 tyś. dolarów więcej na starcie. Właśnie m.in. cena ma być kluczem do lepszej sprzedaży drugiej generacji. Pod warunkiem oczywiście, że wejdzie do oferty.
    W przypadku tego segmentu nie ma znaczenia tak specyfikacja rynku, jak postrzeganie danego modelu przez klientów. Dla jednych cena będzie priorytetem, dla innych marka, a jeszcze innych możliwości konfiguracyjne.

    ok, nie ma sprawy, nie obrażę się, chcecie to się banujcie.
    A co do Phaetona - jabolu, tak jak wspomniał Czips, wzbogać nieco te newsy, bo jedno zdanie (pytanie?) i skan jakichś wizji to trochę mało.
    Wstawiem do posta to co mialem, a że nie było tego zbyt wiele to sorry, info było tylko trzeba kliknąć zdjęcie i przeczytać, przepisywanie treści uznałem -chyba błędnie- za bezsensowne.
    mnie również denerwuje ten nick, awatar i jakiś dziwny styl tych postów

    The Volkswagen Phaeton is for the second lot – people that would only like to show you the tip of the iceberg. In simple words, the Phaeton is meant for Warren Buffett and not for Snoop Dog.

    Sadly, there are very few people like Warren Buffett on this planet. As a result, in its 10 years of existence, the Phaeton has not been able to make a strong mark on the automotive industry.

    To give you an idea – in 2011 Volkswagen sold 10,270 units of the Phaeton worldwide; in the same duration Mercedes sold 68,969 S-Class models. And is the VW Phaeton any less of a car than a Mercedes S-Class? Absolutely not!

    But thanks to the demand for the Phaeton from China, South Korea, Russia, UK and of course Germany, the Phaeton lives on for yet another iteration.
    Here are all the details of the 2016 VW Phaeton
    The next generation Phaeton will be a ‘retirement legacy’ of Dr. Martin Winterkorn, VW Group CEO, and Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, VW product development chief. Thus, VW is intending to design and develop the next gen flagship right from scratch.
    The current VW Phaeton sits on a 10 year old platform which is a steel monocoque. The all-new Phaeton will be based on VW’s new MLB platform that will also underpin the next generation Audi A8, couple of Bentleys and the entire Porsche Panamera family.
    Thanks to the MLB platform, the 2016 VW Phaeton will be largely built out of aluminum in order to shed as much weight as possible. This will make it more fuel efficient and kinder to the environment.
    It will also debut a new design language that will influence the entire future VW range. However, the car will not lose its basic product philosophy of being a straightforward sedan for the person who is successful but doesn’t feel the need to show it.
    Volkswagen wants the new Phaeton to rival the likes of Jaguar XJ and not compete with BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class.
    Volkswagen plans to tailor it for the U.S. and China. Thus, it will also grow in size and a long wheelbase version is also expected for China.
    The W12 motor will be dropped from the range thanks to the recent trend of downsizing engines. The engine options will be restricted to V6s and V8s both in petrol and diesel avatar

    The last Volkswagen Phaeton's failure, at least in the U.S., is undeniable. But VW isn't one to give up without a (second) fight, and that appears to be the plan for the Phaeton, which may be due back for the 2015 model year following a debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.

    The news comes from Bloomberg, citing VW CEO Martin Winterkorn's speech at a recent conference. Winterkorn says a brand as large as VW needs a halo car in the "upscale segment," noting cryptically that "we've seen what happens to brands that don't have that kind of project."

    According to the new report, the next Phaeton could arrive at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. Using the Audi A8 as a basis, the new Phaeton could include a hybrid version.

    The question, however, isn't whether Volkswagen can build a new Phaeton, but whether people will actually buy one. Setting aside the quality and reliability issues of the last Phaeton, a large part of the car's failure in the U.S. came down to its premium price point--a necessity for a luxurious halo car, but problematic with a VW badge on the nose. When last sold in the U.S. in 2006, the Phaeton ranged from about $65,000 to more than $100,000, depending on equipment.

    On the other hand, talk of the Phaeton's return has also included speculation of a lower price of entry--something well below the $70,000 mark.

    Could a new Phaeton carve a place for Volkswagen in the upscale marketplace? Could it overcome its troubled name? Could it make sense alongside the Audi A8?

    We should find out in about six months.

    Jeśli jakoś poprzednich zastrzeżeń nie popieram (banowanie, avatar), tak prosiłbym o niewrzucanie bezsensownie takich cytatów po angielsku, tylko wyciągnięcie z nich to co najważniejsze i wpisanie w post, tak jak robią to pozostali newsmani. Bo jak się zagłębisz w ten bełkot, to tak naprawdę konkretnych faktów o aucie jest co najwyżej na dwa zdania.
